NACC Advocates for Children, Families, and Immigrants

NACC asked the U.S. House and Senate to fund Full-Service Community Schools, raised concerns surrounding hidden foster care, and supported the Children’s Safe Welcome Act to protect the rights of immigrant children. Additionally, NACC signed letters calling for Congress to expand the Child Tax Credit and to establish the second week of June as Children’s Week.

NH Poised to Guarantee Counsel for Youth in Institutional Placements 

New Hampshire Senate Bill 463 (2024) that would establish the right to counsel for youth in institutional placements passed the House chamber on May 23. The Senate passed a concurrence vote last week. The next necessary step for enactment is enrollment, then it will go to the governor.  

Montana Considers Establishing Dependency Court

The Billings Gazette featured NACC Legal Director Allison Green as Montana weighs a proposal to create a dependency court.
