Children’s Justice Fund will fuel protection of the rights and wellbeing of children experiencing the child welfare system through policy advocacy and attorney training.
DENVER, CO. – Today, the National Association of Counsel for Children announced a groundbreaking new fund to protect children and families amidst critical threats to their rights and wellbeing. The fund will strengthen the child welfare law community’s ability to uplift the rights and futures of children. This includes legislative advocacy at the state and federal levels, NACC’s amicus program to ensure appellate courts have accurate information on key cases, and training, certification, and resources to help children and parents receive the highest quality legal representation as they navigate complex systems and challenges.
“It took a long time to advance the rights of children in America,” said Kim Dvorchak, NACC’s CEO. “Now that we have momentum, we’re moving forward—stronger, louder, and more unified than ever.”
The Children’s Justice Fund will support zealous children’s advocacy and help build a future where every child’s rights are not only preserved but realized. NACC will continue to stand up for the rights of all youth, including for racial justice, LGBTQ+ justice, gender justice, and reproductive justice. Every child deserves a voice. Every child deserves justice. Learn more and support the Children’s Justice Fund.
