Olivia Riggs joined NACC in May 2025 as the National Law School Student Organizer. Currently, Olivia is a rising second-year law student at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. During her summer, Olivia will be a legal intern at the Hamilton County Public Defender at the Juvenile and Municipal Division.
During her first year and second semester of law school, she participated in the Hamilton County Youth Court program. While there, she served as a representative for children who wanted to change their lives. She interviewed the children and helped them access resources. Olivia also connected with parents and caregivers to listen and help them access resources as well.
Prior to law school, Olivia attended the University of Cincinnati, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and minors in Social Justice and Africana Studies. As an undergraduate, Olivia participated as the President/ Vice President of the United Black Student Association, where she worked on initiatives supporting black students on campus and mentorship. She was also the Vice President of The Lambda Society, the only black female honorary society on campus that highlights the accomplishments and beauty of black women.
Since starting law school, Olivia has started playing the piano again, but she is happiest when eating a good meal with her friends or taking walks at the park. She also considers herself a coffee connoisseur.
