Maci Fae-Morales Kean

Maci Kean is the Senior Project Specialist at the National Adoption Association (NAA), where she leads initiatives under the Ujima Collective, a national movement advancing leadership, equity, and economic mobility for youth and families impacted by the child welfare system. A former foster youth and adopted 6 weeks shy of her 18th birthday, Maci combines lived experience with professional and academic expertise to shape policy, build partnerships, and elevate youth voice in system reform.

Maci holds two master’s degrees in Business Administration and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Florida International University, where her work focused on leadership development, data-driven program evaluation, and organizational strategy. Her background spans workforce development, community engagement, and leadership training for Opportunity Youth across the country. Passionate about equity, authentic engagement, and narrative change, Maci continues to advocate for inclusive and best practices that reflect the voices of those most impacted by the systems they aim to improve. During her free time, Maci loves to travel and experience different cultures, shoots film photography, loves to cook, and spend time with her puppy, Miso.
