  • In the Interest of D.B. et. al: NACC filed an amicus brief before the Supreme Court of Georgia urging use of emergency removals only under narrow circumstances that comport with due process 

Counsel for Kids News

Policy Counsel Natalece Washington presented Seen, Heard, Represented: Ensuring High-Quality Legal Representation and Meaningful Engagement for Youth in Child Protection Cases with Alaska Children’s Attorney Emily Belic. They presented on September 23 for a hybrid audience of statewide attorneys and guardians ad litem.   

Policy Counsel Natalece Washington presented Seen, Heard, and Represented: Best Practices for Meaningful Youth Participation in Court Proceedings with lived experience expert Amanda Metvier of Facing Foster Alaska. They presented on September 24 for attendees of the annual Alaska Judicial Conference.
