NACC’s Child Welfare Law Year in Review: 2023

2023 was a busy and important year for child welfare law & practice. Join us for NACC’s 5th Annual Child Welfare Year in Review webinar, where Legal Director Allison Green will recap need-to-know updates. We’ll review key Supreme Court decisions, important regulatory changes, developments in state case law, and more. Tune in to get the recap of last year and start the new year off strong!

Presenter:

Allison Green, JD, CWLS, is the Legal Director at the National Association of Counsel for Children. She manages the organization’s policy advocacy, oversees amicus work, and provides training and technical assistance to child welfare practitioners nationwide. Allison previously served as a Foster America Fellow at Missouri’s Children’s Division and as Senior Supervising Attorney at the Children’s Law Center of Washington, D.C. Allison started her career as a Jesuit Volunteer at Legal Services for Children in San Francisco and also worked as a counselor at a youth shelter. She earned her law degree at Georgetown, where she was a Public Interest Law Scholar and recipient of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy and Juvenile Justice Clinic Public Service Awards. She is a certified Child Welfare Law Specialist (CWLS) and has volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. She is currently licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C.

This webinar is open and free for all attendees.

CLE:

California (60‐minute hour)

This participatory activity has been accredited by the State Bar of California for a maximum of 1.5 hours of general credit. Live and on-demand viewing are both participatory activities since NACC confirms duration of attendance. Attorneys must submit an attendance form after participation. Credits will be reported within 60 days of participation.

Colorado (50‐minute hour)

This course has been accredited by the Colorado Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education for a maximum of 2.0 units of general credit. Attorneys must submit an attendance form after participation. Colorado is a self-report state. Log into the Colorado CLE Track System and use course ID 838311 (Live) or 838330 (Self-Study).

All Other Jurisdictions

Attendees from all other jurisdictions are welcome to fill out the attendance form after participation for personal recordkeeping – you will receive a copy of your attendance form via email after submission – but NACC will not report CLE credits on your behalf and you will need to independently seek accreditation.
