Legacy Giving to NACC
Ensure Your Values Live On Through Legacy Giving
By including NACC in your will or estate plan, you can create a legacy that reflects your lifelong commitment to children’s justice. Legacy gifts are a powerful way to ensure your impact continues for generations to come.
What is Legacy Giving?
Legacy giving (also called planned giving) allows you to make a future gift to NACC rough your estate plans—often with significant financial and tax benefits. These gifts cost nothing today but have a lasting impact tomorrow.
Ways to Leave a Legacy
1. Bequests in Your Will or Living Trust
You can designate a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other gifts have been fulfilled.
Sample language:
“I give [% of my estate / $_ / the residue of my estate] to the National Association of Counsel for Children, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 84-0743810, located at 899 N Logan St, Suite 208, Denver, CO 80203 for its general purposes.”
2. Beneficiary Designations
Name NACC as a beneficiary of:
- Retirement accounts (IRA, 401(k), 403(b))
- Life insurance policies
- Bank or brokerage accounts (using a Payable-on-Death or Transfer-on-Death designation)
3. Charitable Trusts or Other Planned Gifts
Work with your financial or legal advisor to explore options like charitable remainder trusts, which provide income during your lifetime and benefit NACC later.
