If you are age 70½ or older, you can use your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to make a tax-smart gift to NACC. A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), also known as an IRA Charitable Rollover, allows you to give directly from your IRA to a qualified nonprofit—like ours—while reducing your taxable income.

How to Make a QCD Gift

1. Contact your IRA administrator
   Request a direct transfer from your IRA to:

2. Example language for your IRA Administrator: “Please issue a Qualified Charitable Distribution from my IRA directly to the National Association of Counsel for Children, Tax ID 84-0743810, located at 899 N. Logan St, Suite 208, Denver, CO 80203. I understand this gift will count toward my Required Minimum Distribution and that I will not receive goods or services in return.”

3. Let us know

4. Confirm Timing
   For the gift to count toward this tax year, your IRA administrator must send the check by the end of the year.
