Children’s Law Office Project
Children experiencing the child welfare system need capable, culturally responsive, well-trained lawyers who have the resources necessary to help them pursue justice.
Law offices dedicated to representing young people are one of the best avenues to ensure clients’ rights are protected and voices are heard.
NACC’s Children’s Law Office Project helps law offices across the country improve their operations and management. The project provides a forum for discussion, a national listserv network, monthly calls, and an annual meeting at NACC’s conference featuring presentations from experienced and emerging leaders.
NACC also publishes the Child Welfare Law Office Guidebook: Best Practice Guidelines for Organizational Legal Representation of Children in Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency Cases, a step-by-step plan for model law office operation, administration, and funding. NACC will revise and update the Guidebook in 2023.
