Job Purpose and Location
The National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC) is a national children’s legal advocacy and membership association. The Membership and Sales Assistant is a new, full-time hybrid position in our Denver office who will support the administration of NACC’s membership program, sales outreach, shipping books and supplies, and assisting with general office tasks. Reporting to the Director of Certification, Sales, and Technology, the person in this role will have opportunities for growth and learning in nonprofit programs, administrative support, advocacy, and communications. This is a unique opportunity to work for a national nonprofit organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Membership (60%)
- Serve as the primary point person for NACC’s membership program and NACC members;
- Cultivate new individual and organizational memberships;
- Process new and renewing memberships, make reminder phone calls, prepare invoices;
- Maintain and update membership database and contact lists;
- Manage membership benefits program (answer member questions, assist with access to website and virtual member events);
- Conduct periodic surveys of members;
- Provide administrative support to NACC State Coordinator program.
Sales and Training Support (30%)
- Packaging and shipping books, products, and supplies
- Provide administrative support for sales outreach;
- Provide administrative support for training events including back-office support for webinars;
General Administrative (10%)
- Assist with filing, copying, mailing, preparing excel spreadsheets, and office tasks;
- Assist with booking staff travel as needed
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time position (5 days a week) with a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000, depending on the candidate’s experience. Benefits include 20 days Paid Time Off a year, health insurance (medical/dental/vision), SIMPLE IRA 3% retirement matching contribution, and life insurance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications include:
- Two-years’ experience in an office environment;
- Good customer-service orientation (phone, email, in-person);
- Good written communication skills, for writing emails;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams;
- Responsive, timely follow-through, and good organizational skills;
- Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite;
- Ability to work collaboratively with the NACC Team, with onsite and remote staff;
- Commitment to advancing racial equity and combating institutional and structural racism;
- Commitment to advancing youth engagement and constituent voice in NACC’s programs;
- Commitment to the mission of the NACC and support for our strategic goals.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Prior position in membership administration/coordination;
- Prior position with sales and/or marketing experience;
- Lived experience with child welfare or youth justice systems
