SUMMARY:Online Red Book Training Course - Fall 2024
DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays\, 5:00-6:30pm ET. \nThe Red Book Training Course is an exciting opportunity for practitioners to brush up on their knowledge of federal child welfare law and learn tips to enhance their representation of children\, parents\, or the agency. NACC’s signature Red Book Training Course covers major dependency practice competency areas and is designed to assist you in preparing for the Child Welfare Law Specialist examination. The 2024 course will include material based on the Fourth Edition of Child Welfare Law and Practice: Representing Children\, Parents\, and Agencies in Neglect\, Abuse\, and Dependency Cases. During weekly webinars\, the presenter will assist participants in breaking the material down\, focusing on important concepts\, and learning CWLS exam-taking strategies. This course will not cover every part of every chapter. The instructor has made intentional decisions about what information to cover in the time that is allotted for the course. If part of a chapter is not covered\, that does not mean that content will not appear on the exam. Therefore\, you should incorporate any parts that are not covered into your self-study plans.  \nThe registration fee is $225 per person for groups and NACC members ($125 for CWLS; $300 for nonmembers) and includes access to live sessions\, recordings\, the electronic Red Book\, and the RBTC workbook. Email Training@NACCchildlaw.org for group registration. All sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing at the attendee’s convenience.   Hardcopies of the Red Book are available for purchase. A hardcopy Red Book is included in the Child Welfare Law Specialist application fee. \nRed Book Training Course 2024 Syllabus \nBecome a Member of NACC for discount pricing.  \nCLE\nCalifornia (60-minute hour)\nThis participatory activity has been accredited by the State Bar of California for a maximum of 12 hours of general credit for live and on-demand participation. \nColorado (50-minute hour)\nThis course is accredited by the Colorado Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education for a maximum of 14 units of general credit for live and on-demand participation.
