SUMMARY:Online Red Book Training Course - Fall 2023
DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays\, September 5 – October 24 \n3:00 – 4:30pm MDT \nThe Red Book Training Course is an exciting opportunity for practitioners to brush up on their knowledge of federal child welfare law and learn tips to enhance their representation of children\, parents\, or the agency. The course covers major dependency practice competency areas and includes exam preparation strategies and tools for those intending to become certified Child Welfare Law Specialists. The material covered in the course is drawn from Child Welfare Law and Practice: Representing Children\, Parents\, and Agencies in Neglect\, Abuse\, and Dependency Cases (4th Edition). The course is intended to assist you in breaking the material down\, focusing on important concepts\, and guiding you through the material in the Red Book. This course will not cover every part of every chapter. The instructor has made intentional decisions about what information to cover in the time that is allotted for the course. If part of a chapter is not covered\, that does not mean that content will not appear on the exam. Therefore\, you should incorporate any parts that are not covered into your self-study plans.  \nView the Schedule and Syllabus   \nThe registration fee is $225 per person for groups and NACC members ($125 for CWLS; $300 for nonmembers) and includes access to live sessions\, recordings\, the electronic Red Book\, and the RBTC workbook! Hardcopies of the Red Book are available for purchase. Please note: A hardcopy Red Book is included in the Child Welfare Law Specialist application fee.  \nBecome a Member of NACC for discount pricing.  \nImportant: Information given for each webinar session on the syllabus lists the section of the Red Book and corresponding chapters\, and sections within each chapter\, that will be covered. Please note that prior to each week it will be helpful if you have read the chapters and sections that will be covered.   \nAll sessions are 90 minutes long and begin at 3:00pm Mountain/5:00pm Eastern.  \nCan’t make it to the live sessions?  Don’t worry\, all sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing at the attendee’s convenience.
