DESCRIPTION:Preventive Legal Advocacy & Pre-Petition Representation: Where We Are\, Where We Are Headed\, and What We Are Learning\nPreventive legal advocacy and pre-petition programs are the result of strategically targeted efforts to support families through upstream civil legal services that address social determinants of health and safely reduce instances of unnecessary child welfare system involvement. Building on the work of the National Preventive Legal Advocacy Partnership\, child welfare experts and representatives from existing and emerging preventive legal advocacy programs across the country have been coming together monthly to explore issues related to the successful implementation of upstream civil legal advocacy. This session will provide a brief synopsis of the preventative legal advocacy cohort’s work and serve as an opportunity for participants to consider where the movement is headed and the important lessons we’re learning along the way. \nSOLD OUT \nNACC has a new Refund Policy this year. DESCRIPTION:Join NACC friends and colleagues for a private tour of Paisley Park\, Prince’s home and studio in Chanhassen\, Minnesota\, outside Minneapolis. Registration includes round–trip charter bus transportation and 2–hour private tour. Capacity is limited to 200 so register today! \nAttendees must abide by Paisley Park’s rules during the tour\, including: \n\nEveryone will be asked to power down their phones\, which will be placed in a Yondr pouch\, which is then locked.\nEach person will carry their own phone with them.\nWhen they arrive at The Soundstage\, we will unlock the pouches and they are able to take pictures.\nAfter your phones are secured\, Security will wand everyone with a metal detector.\nThey will look inside each person’s bag or purse.\nDevices larger than phones (Cameras\, Tablets\, laptops\, etc.) will be checked at the front desk.
