Want to improve the child welfare system? Interested in new ways to help NACC advance justice for children and families? Consider joining NACC’s Policy Committee.
NACC’s Policy Committee brings together staff, Board members and NACCLR lived experience experts virtually, on a bimonthly basis. Together, we promote NACC’s policy framework, discuss emerging issues, and develop advocacy strategies.
For the first time, the Policy Committee seeks to add two NACC members to join for a two-year term.
Eligibility:
- Current NACC member (either individual or organizational member);
- At least 3+ years of experience in child welfare law, policy, or academia;
- If currently case handling, at least 50% of caseload is composed of child welfare matters;
- Alignment with NACC’s policy agenda;
- CWLS preferred.

Submit a 1-2 page letter of interest to [email protected]. The letter should address the following questions:
- What is your background/ experience in child welfare law?
- Why are you interested in joining the NACC Policy Committee?
- What perspectives and contributions could you bring to the Committee’s work?
- What policy reform(s) are you most interested in working on to improve outcomes for children and parents experiencing the child welfare system?
