Traditional attorney trial skills are a critical, yet neglected piece
of effective advocacy for children. Each spring, the NACC conducts The
Rocky Mountain Child Advocacy Training Institute (RMCATI) in Denver, CO
together with The Rocky Mountain
Children's Law Center, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy
(NITA).
RMCATI is a 5-day intensive experiential training designed to provide
child advocates with the trial skills necessary to handle dependency,
delinquency, criminal and private custody cases.
The Institute is designed for all attorneys who work in children's
cases, including children's attorneys (guardians ad litem, law guardians,
etc.) state and agency attorneys, family law practitioners, prosecutors,
and public defenders.
